Jack Perry visited CVD on 2 August 2007
Mr Perry, Chief Executive of Scottish Enterprise, said: “Clyde Valley Drilling is a great example of real innovation in a historically traditional sector. SE is proud to have worked with them at every major stage of their development.
Clyde Valley Drilling, located in Eurocentral, was a start-up business 10 years ago and now employ 90 people with a turnover of £5.5 million.
It provides high value services to the construction industry and has also developed innovative software solutions for project management, which they are now selling to other contracting businesses.
Owen Barrett, managing director of Clyde Valley Drilling Ltd, welcomed Mr Perry to his company’s premises.
He said: “The support and advice that we’ve received from Scottish Enterprise has played a huge role in our success to date.
“Earlier this year we celebrated our 10th anniversary and SE has worked with us at every stage of our development.
“Not only did they provide us with training support but in 2006 SE helped us to relocate to our purpose-built headquarters in Eurocentral.
“With the ongoing support of SE we will look to build on our current position as the largest diamond drilling company in Scotland and work towards making a continued contribution to the Lanarkshire and Scottish economies.”
